Applications for Winter 2025 Exams session are now open until Wednesday, 1 October 2025. Listings for all application and exam session windows up to Summer 2026 are outlined below.

Recorded Exam Uploads
RIAM offers a flexible Recorded Exam option for candidates who prefer to submit performance videos rather than attend in-person assessments. This applies across both Music and Drama & Communication syllabi.

Step-by-Step Guide
- Log in to Your Account
Access your RIAM account to begin the booking process. - Select an Examination Group
Choose the relevant group for your exam:- Music
- Drama & Communications
- Music Theory
- Diploma Exams
- Choose Examination Format
Depending on your Examination Group, select the appropriate format:- Practical Grades
- Performance Grades
- Mark-free Assessment
- Specify Examination Type
Indicate whether it is a Solo or Ensemble examination (if applicable). - Choose Your Exam Format
Decide whether you’d like to take a Live In-Person Exam, or submit a Video Recording (availability varies by exam type). - Enter Candidate Details
Accept the Terms & Conditions, then provide the candidate’s details, subject, and grade. - Select Preferences
- For Live Exams: Choose your preferred Exam Centre.
- For Digital Submissions: Select your preferred Upload Submission Date.
- Confirm and Pay
Review your selections, confirm your application, and complete payment to finalise your booking.
